01Our commitment
de Haan & Associates wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, voice control or other assistive technology.
02What we have done
The website was built to WCAG 2.2 level AA. In particular:
- Pages use meaningful headings, landmarks and labels, and every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator
- Text and interface colors meet or exceed the WCAG AA contrast ratios; the main pairings were measured at 5:1 to 17:1
- Text can be resized to 200 percent and the layout reflows down to 320 pixels wide without horizontal scrolling
- Animation is reduced or removed when your device asks for reduced motion
- The site respects Windows high-contrast (forced colors) mode
- Form fields have visible labels, and errors are described in text and announced to assistive technology
- Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; decorative graphics, including the animated 3D scan on the home page, are hidden from assistive technology and add no information that is not also in the text
03How we test
We test with automated tools and by hand, including keyboard-only navigation and checks at phone, tablet and desktop sizes. We review the site again whenever we add a feature.
04Known limitations
Documents provided by others and linked from this site, such as government license lookups, are outside our control and may not meet the same standard.
